LINDA COKER, CAM, COS, HCCP, NALP
Senior Regional Supervisor
Linda serves as a Senior Regional Supervisor for Alpha Barnes. In her role, she manages, directs and implements strategies to ensure the successful achievement of operational efficiencies and profitability for clients and their assets. She directly supervises the activities of all property managers and regional office staff for a portfolio of properties targeting positive financial results. Ms. Coker supervises 6 assets, totaling just under 1,000 units comprised of Low Income Housing Tax (LIHTC) housing, Senior, conventional and new construction. In addition to her direct supervisory responsibilities, Linda has assumed the role of HUD Compliance Director for the Alpha Barnes HUD program properties.
Ms. Coker studied at the University of North Texas and began her property management career as a Property Manager in 1985 transitioning 3 HOA’s from development to their Boards of Directors. After working with conventional, subsidized and affordable apartments and multiple homeowner associations as well as overseeing lease up for new construction, in 1990 Ms. Coker joined a national firm as a Regional Property Supervisor specializing in affordable housing with funding through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. During her tenure Linda won awards for over $500,000 in Federally Assisted Low-Income Housing Drug Elimination Program Grants. In August, 2000, she joined Alpha Barnes and is currently responsible for a portfolio that includes 202/811 housing for the elderly and disabled, section 8 and tax credits.
Ms. Coker is a Certified Apartment Manager (CAM), a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), a Housing Credit Certified Professional (CCP) and a National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP).
